This editable foldable organizes notes and practice problems for angle relationships formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal. The following relationships are included:

Corresponding Angles
Alternate Interior Angles
Alternate Exterior Angles
Same-Side Interior Angles (this download includes a foldable option without this tab)

On the inside of the flap, students can color code/ identify the angles and write congruence statements for each.

Within the foldable there are 15 additional practice problems where students can apply these concepts.

Perfect for interactive math notebooks! I use this type of assignment during whole group guided instruction, but it would also work great for intervention, small group, centers, or during a tutoring session.

This download includes a print + go PDF version, as well as the editable PowerPoint file.

Use informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. For example, arrange three copies of the same triangle so that the sum of the three angles appears to form a line, and give an argument in terms of transversals why this is so.
