This is a card sort that covers 6 main characteristics/categories of information for the 3 parent functions taught in the Texas curriculum of Algebra 1.
These three parents are linear, quadratic, and exponential.
The 6 categories are: 1. Algebraic Function 2. Graphical Representation 3. Tabular Representation 4. Visual Characteristics 5. Domain and Range 6. Real World
How I use it: I print 16 copies one sided (so my students can work in pairs), I laminate them, then I cut out the filled in info sheet and each pair gets a blank info sheet and a baggie of cards so they can sort and order them to the right location.
