Description
If you use Everyday Mathematics, then you know how difficult it is for some children to learn the Partial Sums Algorithm. You break it down, think they have it, but find they have a hard time transferring the skills independently.
DIFFERENTIATION is the key!
These partial sums practice sheets are differentiated to give your kids what they need, and to progress the reluctant learner through 4 phases as your gradually release responsibility:
•The first five sheets are colored coded and gridded so the children see how to solve the problem, adding the tens, then the ones, and then adding the colors (partial sums) together to get the total. There are two examples so the kids (and parents - if you assign it for homework) have a reference. The problems extend to one or two 3-digit problems. The last of the set has no example.
•The second set of five are gridded, without the colors. Again, sample problems are included on the top of the page, except for the last of the set.
•The next set of ten begin with the problems and examples, but without the color or grid cueing. The last five give practice for mastery without any cues or examples.
These sheets are great for practice in the classroom or to be assigned for homework! If you need more at any of the five levels, it’s easy to change the numbers to create new sheets.
You'll be amazed at how well ALL children master partial sums!

Just what I needed! Thanks!
great practice
These worksheets really helped my students with the concept of partial sums. Thank you!
What I was looking for!
Very small document for the price
After downloading it still says "Sample" on the pages. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for sharing such a great product!
Thanks!
