Students will create 2 tables upon building stairs out of toothpicks. They will determine 2 different patterns. Then, they will graph each of those tables/patterns. Lastly, they will answer questions about the rate at which pattern grows. They will compare these rates and describe them. This can be used as a whole class or as a center.
