"My students love this work. I have the children place matching pony beads onto pipe cleaners to match the pattern on the task cards. Kids are very engaged."

Description

These 24 Pattern Task Cards are designed for a student to problem solve, reason mathematically, and make connections while practicing building repeating and the more difficult growing patterns. Eight of the cards have pictures of linking cubes displayed to create a pattern but also allows the child to record what pattern they have created. There are 16 cards without pictures (four growing patterns & one editable make your own) to allow the child to explore and use a variety of different manipulatives (bears, buttons, blocks, beads, noodles, shapes, etc.) to build various patterns. Also included are a blank linking cube work mat and a blackline to record the pattern they have created. All will work well in a center or workstation for practice.
