Students will create an 8.5 x 11 flipbook to review the 3 layers of soil: topsoil, subsoil and bedrock. Students will fill in the blanks with key vocabulary and color the layer in a diagram. This product directly correlates with VA SOL for Science - 3rd grade.

Students will create a vocabulary book to use as a study guide! The vocabulary words presented are: behavioral and physical adaptation, camouflage, mimicry, hibernation, migration, learned vs. instinct. The mini-book is intended to be cut in half and stapled together as a resource. This product directly correlates with the VA SOL - Science standards for 3rd grade.

The simple machines included in this book are lever, wedge, inclined plane, screw, wheel and axle, pulley and compound machines.
