A grade 7 mini-project (1 hour) that has students use their skills in rate and percent to choose which way to buy 1000 t-shirts. Students will work out the price of buying shirts in Ontario (with sales tax, gas, and food) vs. Pennsylvania (no tax, but with exchange rate).
It's a fun assessment as learning!
