This highly engaging PowerPoint Presentation (& FREE guided notes) will introduce your Biology or Environmental students to photosynthesis. This modern slideshow fits right between the Introduction to Cell Respiration and Photosynthesis lesson and the Basic Plant Structure & Function lesson in my Metabolism and Plant unit in Biology. The presentation begins with the overall function of photosynthesis, followed by one slide on each reactant and product. My PowerPoints have been described as, "the Amoeba Sisters in lecture form." This slideshow is animated, colorful, clear, concise, and interactive! Please click the video preview above to view the entire Presentation. I highly recommend grabbing this as alesson bundle because the lab is FREE. The bundle comes with my Photosynthesis lab, which is a 3-part lab that includes spinach chromatography, looking at stomata under a microscope, and observing photosynthesis through floating leaf disks.
What You Will Receive:
- 1. The PowerPoint. It includes a bell ringer/warm-up as well for you to do the following class(es) as a review.
- A PDF version of the PowerPoint that you may post on your class website (please see Terms of Use below)
- A version that is less than 100MB for my Chromebook only teachers. Please note, I had to replace some videos in order to reduce the file size.
- 2. Guided notes without blanks. This is the "key" and I have these for students who have accommodations. This is not included in the price since some people do not use guided notes.
- 3. Guided notes with blanks (again, not included in the price). Scaffolded notes allow students to watch and listen, while only noting key vocabulary and labeling of diagrams. I find this is the most effective note-taking style (I personally do not use a textbook).
