Description

Reading the Magic Tree House book Pirates Past Noon??? The Glyph Girls have the perfect companion product for you! This project neatly combines art, reading, and creative writing. Each student will create their own unique pirate to display their writing. Multiple writing options to choose from.

We've also included a Read and Respond packet for Pirates Past Noon. The packet includes a page for each chapter of the book. This will work wonderfully for a reader response assignment for guided reading groups, teacher read aloud, or independent reading. You can choose either primary or regular lines.

Don't have time to read the book? There are several writing ideas to choose from that will work even if your class hasn't read it. Have your students create a pirate and let their imaginations run wild!! Detailed directions and photos are included.

Take a closer look at the Preview above. Be sure to follow us here on TpT and our blog - glyphgirls.com. We have plans to add many more glyphs, writing projects, and activities.

I ended the year using this chapter book with my second graders. I used this resource in literature circles to accompany their writing station. The students were engaged and loved it!

I am reading this book to my ESY classes. Our theme is Pirates of course. We read a chapter each day and complete the accompanying response page. Oh my gosh! it is very successful, the various response types are very engaging, so far they really got excited about the map drawing activity. It is easy to adapt for those students who struggle with writing (writing in highlight/tracing). We compose the sentence responses together and they are enjoying this daily activity. Thank you for creating such a great resource.
