There are five clues to crack to solve the mystery:

Clue 1: Converting from Expanded Form
Clue 2: Value of the Underlined Digit
Clue 3: Comparing Numbers (Circle the greater number)
Clue 4: Ordering Numbers (ascending order)
Clue 5: Rounding Numbers to the nearest 10 and 100.

(Please note that all the numbers in the questions of this place value mystery version are less than 1,000.)

Students must use critical thinking skills to figure out what the clue is telling them to eliminate from the list of possibilities.
