Need sub plans or an array of Base-10, counting, and place value math activities for your 1st-2nd grade students? This lesson pack is just what you need. Included in the product is 6 worksheets, a mini slides lesson, a teacher explanation, and a distance learning plan. Check out the preview for a thorough description of this product!

  • Warm up: Your students will begin the place value lesson with a missing number worksheet. Using a numberline up to 30, students write in the missing number.
  • Minilesson: Using your three-slides presentation, you will teach your students how to identify the amount of tens and ones in a 2-digit number.
  • Guided Practice: Complete the picture worksheet by drawing Base-10 diagrams for each 2-digit number.
  • Independent Practice: You will have THREE options for this! Grade-level students will complete a cut-and-paste place value activity. Students above grade level will receive a place value challenge worksheet. Students below grade level will complete a Number ID worksheet.
  • Closing: Conclude your lesson with the vocabulary assessment to see what your students learned.
