Make math centers fun and engaging when learning about place value using base-10 blocks (numbers up to 9,999) with this set of task cards. There are 36 task cards with the following types of questions:

1-16: Identifying numbers using base 10 blocks

17-24- Identifying numbers using base 10 blocks where students will have to re-group blocks

25-32- Given a number, students model that number using base 10 blocks

33-36- Students write their own number and then create that number using base 10 blocks

**NOTE: Click on the link to access these task cards. You will need to make a copy of the task cards to your google drive before assigning to students. Also, these cards are not intended to be assigned all at once. You can copy the slides you would like to assign to students into a new document, and have them complete those task cards.

These cards can be used for current content, as well as review.

Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
Recognize that in a multi-digit number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right and 1/10 of what it represents in the place to its left.
