Description

There are 40 task cards included! These task cards are meant for 3rd grade students.

These problems are all about geometry:

  • Students must identify 2D and 3D shapes based on pictures or given attributes.
  • There are also word problem questions included.
  • Students must identify different types of quadrilaterals.

This set is great for EOG test prep with multiplication and division word problems. Each card has a multiplication or division problem and 4 answer choices. A recording sheet and answer key included for easy grading!

You can cut and laminate cards for long term use. This can be used for small group intervention or whole group activity! I like to make it extra fun by playing an escape room timer for an hour and dimming lights, and spread the task cards around the room (some hidden) so it can be a makeshift escape room- students escape by competing all cards. Answer sheets for students and answer key for the teacher are included!

Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces. Identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.
Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.
Partition shapes into parts with equal areas. Express the area of each part as a unit fraction of the whole. For example, partition a shape into 4 parts with equal area, and describe the area of each part as 1/4 of the area of the shape.
