This lesson is a quick overview of the polyatomic ions (PAI). Students will learn the definition of “Polyatomic Ion” as well as some tips and tricks on how to memorize them. This lesson takes about 10 minutes.
Note: I get my student to memorize these, and I give them the “Polyatomic Ion Quiz”. I have found this greatly improves their performance for the rest of the nomenclature part of the unit, even though I allow them to use their PAI list in other parts of the unit.
