Description
Save money and time with this quality resource I put together for you! During this unit, students extend previous knowledge of sets and subsets to order and describe relationships between sets of real numbers, including rational numbers and their subsets, as well as irrational numbers. Students approximate the value of irrational numbers less than 225 and locate them on a number line. Students use informal arguments establishing facts about the angle sum and exterior angles of triangles, the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. Students use models and diagrams to explain the Pythagorean theorem. Students use the Pythagorean theorem and its converse to solve problems and apply these understandings to the coordinate plane as they determine the distance between two points on the coordinate plane.
These are the individual resources included in this bundle:
1. Real Numbers - Sets and Subsets of Numbers. ($1.99)
2. Real Numbers - Rational and Irrational Numbers.($1.99)
3. Irrational Numbers - Pi (π) and Square Roots ( √ ).($1.99)
5. Angle Sum - Interior & Exterior Angles of Triangles.($1.99)
6. Angles in Parallel Lines cut by a Transversal. ($1.99)
7. Angle-angle Criterion for Similarity of Triangles. ($1.99)
8. Using Models to Explain The Pythagorean Theorem. ($1.99)
9. The Pythagorean theorem and its Converse. ($1.99)
10. Distance Between Two Points Pythagorean theorem. ($1.99)
Hits Common Core Standards 8.NS.1, 8.NS.2, 8.EE.A.3 and 8.EE.A.4; and TEKS 8.2A, 8.2B, 8.2D, 8.6C, 8.7D, 8.8D, 8.7C.
