Description

Practice graphing with polar coordinates by having your students embark on a date in this love themed project! The cardiod (heart), lemniscate (bow), rose curve (flower), circle and more are explored! There is a calculator portion where students reveal a butterfly and a portion where they can create their own graph as well.

INCLUDED:
- 5 themed polar graphs
- An opportunity for students to get creative and make their own graph and prompt
- Scoring rubric
- Full worked solutions answer key

I have done this activity with Precalculus students around Valentines Day, because our polar unit fell in February, but it really can be done any time and the kids get a kick out of the theme!
