Experience

I'm an educator with 13 years of experience across a range of different high school environments! I've taught everything from Algebra 1 to Calculus and worked in Title I schools in the inner city, rural schools in my hometown, and even a private school in the suburbs. Every new school environment has helped me hone my craft and expand my ideas of what is possible in the classroom!

Teaching style

Students should have the chance to practice the real world skills the job market is looking for- collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, communication, and problem solving. It's my job to help facilitate opportunities to do so in the classroom. I'm always looking for new ways for students to engage with my content and with each other. Practice and repetition are important for students to master our math concepts, but that doesn't mean each day should be monotonous!
