Description

Prime factorization mixed with coloring sheets is an engaging way to practice!

In this prime factorization activity, students answer 15 or 20 questions, find the answers on the coloring sheet/section, and color - in both print and digital versions.

  • Students will quickly know whether or not they solved correctly - if their answer isn't on the coloring sheet, they know they need to rework the problem.

Check out the Preview and video demo above to see what's included and to see how the Google Slides version works (students will need to know how to use the "Fill color" feature).

Problems require students to:

  • Find prime factorizations of composite numbers
  • Find composite numbers, given their prime factorizations

This easy-prep prime factorization resource includes:

1) Three print versions:

Version A:

  • Problem sheet with 20 questions
  • Coloring sheet

Version B

  • Problem sheet with 20 questions (SAME QUESTIONS as Version A)
  • Coloring sheet (same pattern, but uses different colors)

Version C

  • Problem sheet with 15 questions (a little less challenging than A & B)
  • Coloring sheet (same pattern as Versions A & B, different color scheme)

2) One Google Slides version:

  • Same problems and same design/colors as print Version B - problems and coloring are all on one slide
  • Students type their answers in the answer box
  • Students use the ‘Fill color’ bucket to color the shapes
  • Questions are not editable (they are in the background) but the shapes and numbers in the pattern ARE movable.
  • Link to Google Slides is after the print items in the PDF download.

3) Answer Keys

4) One coloring page with no numbers, so students can color for fun, create their own color by numbers, or for you to create your own color by number activities for your classes.

This is a great resource but it took my kids forever. Maybe they were just too low? I love it though and will use it again in the future!
