Description
Engage your students with this fun math word problem solving competition. Math word problems, involving all number operations, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions, decimals and percentages will have your students using their mathematical problem solving and critical thinking skills. The activity is ideal for grades 6 and 7, perfect for those end of year lessons and great for building teamwork and cooperative learning.
An exciting team activity where the aim is to solve as many problems as possible in the allotted time. It can be used just in your regular classroom but even better when set up in a large space, joined with another class too for more fun. In a larger space, students have to race too to gather their questions so increasing the level of excitement and competition!
It is a great activity to use on the last day of the year or term or as a reward for great class behaviour. Once your students have played "Wacky Races" they will keep asking for more!! A fun way to end the term, with engaged students all working collaboratively as part of a team.
