Description

8 colorful problem-solving posters perfect for the beginning of the year!

Everybody needs a little help sometimes! Students get stuck on tough problems in school, and are not always sure what to do to get going again.

I use these signs to give students ideas about how they can help themselves, especially when I am not available in the moment to answer their questions– or even if I am, but think they are capable of investigating the answer for themselves.

8 Signs Include:

When you get stuck...

Ask the teacher to rephrase the question.

Ask the teacher for more think time.

Look for patterns.

Think about what you already know.

Look at your notes AND your textbook.

Make an educated guess.

These posters are great for reminding students about tools they often forget to use, such as notes and their prior knowledge.
