Description
Students round whole numbers (hundreds and thousands place value) to the nearest ten and hundred in this fall math activity that doubles as a classroom bulletin board display. There are 2 problems on each pennant (round to the nearest ten and round to the nearest hundred). Each pennant is in the shape of a pumpkin and has plenty of places to color to celebrate fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Included inside: 30 pennants with 3-digit numbers, 10 with 4-digit numbers and 4 without numbers for your to write in your own.
Once a pennant is complete, it can be hung along a string in your classroom to show the world that, "Hey, we know how to round numbers!"

Optional student answer sheets and answer keys are included. Each group of students can be given a set of pennants, scissors and either glue, tape or a stapler. Students can be in charge of cutting out the pennants. Groups can compete to see which group can complete the most pennants or your entire class can add pennants to one string as they complete each one. You may also choose to have your students color their pennants to add to your classroom décor.
