Description
This activity is an engaging, interactive way for your students to begin using the quadratic formula and is compatible with google classroom and, therefore, many other distance learning platforms.
Students will click and drag the correct quadratic formula set up and the correct solutions to each of the 6 quadratic equations. All equations are given in standard form and all solutions are rational.
In my limited experience, effective math instruction on Google Classroom is HARD! I've been asking my students to take pictures of their "scrap paper" with all work on it when I assign tasks like this in order to...
- gain insight into their process/understanding
- avoid cheating/sharing answers or lucky guesses
- maintain high standards and accountability
You can have students attach a picture of their work to the assignment posting by pressing "add or create" on the right hand side of the screen where it says "Your Work."
