Description
Use this activity to teach the RACES method or have students practice.
Students read a short passage and respond to the question using the RACES.
The top of the page has a key to remind students what each part of RACES is.
The key also is color-coded. When students are done with their answer they can use the highlight tool to color-code their answer. This promotes revising and editing, as well as help students self check that they have the necessary parts for their answer.
I have also used this as a mini-lesson or review where we write a response together as a class and then the students independently highlight the parts.
This resource can also be printed and students can use color pencils or highlighters to color code their work.
