This packet is perfect for small group instruction (i.e. Guided Reading groups) and can also be adapted for whole group instruction (for grades 3-5). In my classroom, I will be using them for both along with test prep. I have included tier two vocabulary words in the packet and it is common core aligned. The word search at the end of the story will depict a hidden message which highlights the moral of the story.
