Description
This product includes a reading packet that can serve a companion to the Reading A to Z Book What's in that Shell (Level F). The objective is to have students identify key details and determine the main idea of the book. I used it as a reading comprehension skill lesson adjacent to a read-aloud of the featured text. The packet includes:
- A Do Now (for teachers to assess where the students are immediately after reading the text as a class.
- A Goal and Skill sheet with a kid-friendly objective and thinking steps for the skill. (This can be printed separately and used a poster.
- Independent Work with extension to have students practice the skill within the book
- Exit Ticket with extension that provides practice with a passage
There's no prep for you! All you have to do is print the packet and provide students access to the RAZ book! Look for other RAZ packets in my store!
