Description

This resource contains 10 two-part questions (with directions for each step) that introduce Reading a Ruler and also applying that measurement to an idea of a fraction operation such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. Includes examples that require students to measure the length of the green bar using the ruler, and then use that length to answer an application question involving 1 of the 4 main operations. Ex: Find the length of the green bar, and then increase that length by 2 1/2 inches. Step-by-step guidance is provided so that this can be used as a self-paced/individual activity, or it can be used as an entire class lesson. Answer key is included! A perfect resource for students learning from home who need that extra step-by-step guidance.

Used as a supplement for a student that had to complete in-home learning based on a special circumstance. He was able to work through this on his own, and enjoyed it too.
