This slide show coincides directly with the Curriculum Associates Ready Common Core Math 5th Grade curriculum. Use this in addition to your Ready Math Instruction to get your students engaged with Common Core Math Standards.
This particular lesson is an "Understand" lesson, you will notice a lot of conceptual and abstract connections to build the base of number sense and the relationships between place values.
These slides will push students to develop number sense, collaborate with their peers using Math Habits & Interaction techniques, build on prior knowledge and critically think through their challenging 5th grade math ahead of them.
**If you do not teach with Ready Math curriculum, these slides can be adapted to your curriculum or 5th Grade Common Core instruction. If you would like them to be more adapted to your needs, please contact me through your store and I will help develop them to work for you.
