My students used this in a small group setting. I wanted to give them scenarios that they knew they might encounter in the real world. This was a great activity that they connected with easily. The brochure activity really deepened their understanding of the connection to real life and allowed students with various artistic and design talents to shine in a way they wouldn't otherwise be able to in math class.
