Description
32 page PowerPoint with anchor charts and 7 page leveled Independent Practice
Restating the question is a difficult task that most students struggle with. This lesson is designed to teach students to restate the question when answering a constructed response type question. The 32 page PowerPoint and Leveled Independent Practice sheets focus on how to restate parts of the question in the answer to be as specific as possible. Acronyms such as RACE, RAPS, and RAPP are used in the PowerPoint. Acronyms to help students remember this are: CSIQ, PQA, and TTQA. This is also covered in the PowerPoint. These slides may also be copied (for your personal classroom use only) and used as anchor charts. The lesson is designed with direct instruction, guided practice and independent practice. There are three independent practice pages which are leveled so that you could differentiate for your students if necessary. The end of the PowerPoint provides you with a closing to the lesson. In the closing, students will see the answer to the question. They will have to use the sentence given to create the question.
