This is a mini unit called Restaurant Week, which was inspired by a television show last year called America's Next Great Restaurant. Students work in small groups to come up with their own new restaurant concept. They develop it from concept through restaurant layout, develop a plan for the layout and create a unique menu. All of the items come together in a concept board which is then shared with their classmates. This is a great end of the year unit that allows for review of many math concepts and allows students to flex their creative muscles, too! I have included a detailed explanation for students (and for your use), as well as an invoice page, and a fake "catalog" of needed items. The only additional material needed is graph paper and posterboard.
