This is a project for 3-6 students who are studying rocks and minerals in Science. Included in this detailed packet are planning guides for the collection of rocks, classifying them, identifying the rocks using field guides, and eventually displaying them. This even includes a rubric for scoring the completed projects. Students will love feeling like scientists while participating in this student-centered activity.
