This script was designed for middle school English Language Learners to practice working with money and role playing the roles of cashier and customer. It is suggested that the teacher brings in the household items pictured on the script and money manipulatives for students to work with. The script would be appropriate for an ESL classroom or any upper-level elementary classroom learning to work with money. The amounts do not surpass $1. The concept of making change is not addressed.
