STEM CHALLENGE: Newspaper Table

I don't know about you by my students LOVE STEM challenges! They all enjoy the hands on building component, show really valuable mathematic, science and design learning and my favorite thing, have showed great improvement in teamwork skills!

This challenge focus on students working in small teams to plan and build a structure from newspaper and masking tape, that can hold an increasing weight (stacked books!). To add to the fun, this challenge can be run as a positive competition to see which groups structure can hold the most weight.
