Description

Give your students a chance to think like North Pole inventors with this Santa Gadget Invention Challenge: Level 1! Students invent a helpful gadget for Santa while practicing brainstorming, planning, simple cost estimation, and persuasive writing.

This project is STEAM-inspired, blending creativity, engineering-style planning, artistic design, and age-appropriate math.

This edition includes two differentiated versions of the planning pages:
• Standard Version (3–5 digit addition)
• Low-Math Option Pages (circle-and-choose charts with minimal math!)

Choose the pages that fit your classroom and print. Students brainstorm, sketch, plan features, estimate material & special features costs, design their invention, and write a persuasive letter convincing Santa to use their creation.

Perfect for grades 2–6, early finishers, December projects, writing centers, or a flexible one- or multi-day activity. The printable envelopes help students feel as if their assignment came straight from Santa’s workshop, and the completion certificate gives them a magical way to celebrate their creativity and effort.
