I was looking for a way to teach the Saxon morning meeting as an independent activity, so I created this template. It coincides with each Saxon lesson 31 - 40-2 (Saxon CA Third Grade Edition). I have included:
Calendar Questions
Number of the day
Odd/Even
Rounding
Number Sentences
*Ordering 3 digit numbers
Word Problem of the day w/ explanation lines
Pattern / Rule
*Perimeter of a rectangle

Money (coins)
*(new concepts)
I copy the Morning Math Work into a packet and give it to the students. When they walk in, they take out their packets and get started independently. This gives me time to take attendance and check homework. After about 15-20 minutes, we go over it whole class.
