Description

Thank you for your download! I use this resource with my classes every week and it has become a staple of all of my lesson plans!

More details on what is included:

1. Bellwork Sheet

  • Who doesn't love a great, organized resource! With this bellwork sheet, students can complete daily warmups or do-now's for your class. This is how my students spend the first five minutes of every class period. On the bellwork sheet students will have a spot for every day of the week to complete a bellwork prompt. Each week students will also have the opportunity to solve a challenge. I usually use a problem that has students have to think a little harder to make sense of the problem.

2. Weekly Reflection Sheet

  • This is a student focused reflection resource! The first part of this resource focuses on answering three main questions. (1) What was the best thing that happened this week outside of class? (2) What was your biggest success in class this week? (3) What was your biggest challenge in class this week?
  • The second section is all about goal setting! Students will take two weekly goals that they made the week before (or on Monday, if you are using this for the first time!) and they will be able to check off if they reached their goals for that week. There is also a small reflection section where they can reflect on their weekly goal. Then students will set their two goals for next week below.
  • The third section focuses on students reflecting on their week with three habits that my students focus on. My students get a grade every week for being rigorous, respectful, and ready to learn. This self reflection tracker focuses on the following goals: engaged/participating, proper use of phones/technology, and respectful of others/things. If students meet that goal for the day, they are supposed to give themselves a checkmark. If they get three checkmarks in a day, they get to shade in a star. The goal is to have "5 star" weeks!
  • The final section is a simple "I wish my teacher knew..." In this section, my students are invited to share anything school related or personal with me that they might want me to know.

How to use this resource:

  • Use as a whole group, bellwork/goal setting
  • Use in a small group, short term goal setting/reflection
  • Incorporate content warm-ups on the bellwork page and then have students reflect on the back with self evaluation section of the reflection sheet.

Time to Complete:

  • Each student handout is designed for a 5 day week. Can be used over a two week period with block scheduling. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are on one side of the bellwork page, while Tuesday and Thursday are on the opposite side. Students will be able to keep track of when they have been in class and their habits during that week.
