This Kindergarten Science Unit Lesson is a wonderful and easy way to reinforce ELA skills into your science time, and contains:

❶ A 6 page predictable reader about heat and how it changes matter.

❷ A video of the book with text being read aloud, so your students can do a shared reading of the book before buddy reading or independently reading it.

It addresses the following TEKS:
SCI.K.5.B

Matter and energy. The student knows that objects have properties and patterns. The student is expected to: observe, record, and discuss how materials can be changed by heating or cooling.
