This differentiated station lab is for students to identify and apply scientific process skills. Each station focuses on multiple skills including observation, making inferences, forming a hypothesis, estimation, and more.

Purpose:
The purpose of this lab is for students to identify and apply scientific process skills.

Description of the activity:
Being able to apply scientific process skills provides a solid foundation for any science class. These skills are necessary to produce and use scientific information, preform scientific research, and to solve problems. This lab gives the students to practice many of these skills.

What’s Included in this product:
1 page Teacher Notes
2 levels of the 4 page lab packet

Materials Needed:
Meter Stick, Metric Ruler, 8 mm bolt, Penny, 1.5” x 11” strips of paper, variety of shoes (running, dress, worn work boot, etc.)

How it’s differentiated
The lower level of this lab has been modified by shortening the assignment, giving “tips” along the way, and substituting fill in the blank for matching.
