Description

You will download two scientific method rubric assessments (teacher and student self assessment) to use with your 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. It works well to test and review the steps during a lab or experiment activity.

The first one may be used by the teacher to assess the students' skills in identifying concepts, such as, the hypothesis, following the procedures, collecting data, using materials, and accuracy of results. The assessment is on a four point scale. The second assessment is the student self assessment of the first assessment and uses "I" statements.

Black and white versions are also included for economical printing.

For your convenience, you will download both TPT digital EASEL and printable PDF resource formats.

This was very helpful and useful when it was time for our school science fair and then the upcoming county science fair. Also helpful for classroom science experiments.

This was very helpful in creating a rubric for grading different science investigations and experiments. Our team made our own rubric based on many parts of this one. This resource would be even better if it were editable.

I really like this resource when coming up with a rubric. I think if you could make it editable for teachers how need to allow for modifications that would make it better.
