Description
In these scaffolded lesson plan, students will learn about the different parts of the scientific method as they learn how to design their own inquiry-based labs with a life science focus. On the first day, they will start by learning how to identify variables and then they will do a lab where they then identify the variables as one of the parts. On the second day, they will learn how to write a hypothesis, and then in that lab, they will both identify the variables and write their own hypotheses. This keeps building with the procedure, data table, graph, and finally the conclusion. The final assessment is a design-your-own inquiry lab where students create their own questions. See below for full details and instructions.
