Description
I love using gallery walks as a way to get students out of their seats and moving! All you have to do is hang the stations along the wall in your classroom. In a gallery walk, students walk to each of the 10 stations and write down notes as they go. In this gallery walk, students will make inferences about the connections between numbers written in scientific notation and standard form. They will first make observations on their own and then have a discussion with classmates. This can be used as an introduction to scientific notation.
