Share

Description

These tasks cards will really test your students understanding of scratch. Students are given jumbled blocks, they will need to read the scenario to determine what the blocks do and therefore put them in order. Students should then test their script (blocks of code) in Scratch 3.0.

Cut out and laminate these cards and then give them to your students to practise Scratch 3.0. They can be used as a starter or review activity.

My students love these in my computer studies class.

Scratch 3.0 can is ideal for chromebooks and can be accessed from the following link: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/editor/?tutorial=getStarted

I recently purchased the "Scratch Coding Jumbled Blocks Task Cards - Pack 1 - Coding Unplugged" and couldn't be more pleased with the resource! These task cards provide an innovative way for my students to deepen their understanding of Scratch coding principles. Pros: Interactive Learning: The jumbled blocks format challenges students to think critically and understand the logic behind Scratch coding. Versatile Use: These cards can be used for individual practice, small group work, or even coding centers. No Computer Needed: It's a fantastic unplugged activity, perfect for days when we can't access the computer lab. Easy to Use: The instructions are clear, making it simple for both teachers and students to get started right away. Engaging: My students love the hands-on approach and are always excited to see if they can correctly arrange the blocks. Cons: None! This resource has been a great addition to my coding curriculum. Overall, the "Scratch Coding Jumbled Blocks Task Cards - Pack 1" has been a hit in my classroom. It's an excellent tool for reinforcing coding skills in a fun and interactive way. Highly recommend it to any teacher looking to enhance their coding lessons!
