Scratch Coding Project: Animation
Share

Description

These complete project slides will guide your students through creating an animation video using the Scratch platform. Students can be self-paced or classes can move through the project together. Slides are FULLY EDITABLE to tailor the project to your specific class or state standards. Great for STEM or STEAM classes, library, in general education classes, or to celebrate Hour of Code!

NOTE: Students will need to create Scratch accounts to save their project.

This project is planned to support the ISTE Standards for Students

  • 1.4.b- Students use digital and non-digital tools to plan and manage a design process.
  • 1.5.d- Students understand how automation works and use algorithmic thinking to develop a sequence of steps to create and test automated solutions.

However, I have written alternative rubrics to link the project to Common Core ELA standards for grades 2-5!

These project slides include

  • Tutorial/experimental phase
  • Links to helpful videos
  • Opportunities for student self-reflection and peer feedback
  • Visual instructions
  • Graphic Organizers
  • STEM and ELA Rubrics
