This is the perfect companion resource to use with MIT's FREE "Scratch Creative Computing" online software and Curriculum Guide!
This Design Journal is for student use in documenting, sketching, and brainstorming ideas and plans. The Design Journal is aligned to the Curriculum Guide available at http://scratched.gse.harvard.edu/ct
The Design Journal includes reflective prompt questions that accompany each projects included in the lessons for 5 units. The sixth unit of the Curriculum Guide is already designed for brainstorming and sketching ideas as students create their own project in the culminating activity.
With Scratch, students create a wide variety of interactive multi-media projects. This FREE online program is an introduction to the coding concepts in software development. Each lesson features prompt and/or reflection questions for students to support their development as computational thinkers. This Design Guide is a resource to organize ideas as students work through the Scratch Curriculum Guide in a design-based learning approach.
