This Design Journal is for student use in documenting, sketching, and brainstorming ideas and plans. The Design Journal is aligned to the Curriculum Guide available at http://scratched.gse.harvard.edu/ct
The Design Journal includes reflective prompt questions that accompany each projects included in the lessons for 5 units. The sixth unit of the Curriculum Guide is already designed for brainstorming and sketching ideas as students create their own project in the culminating activity.
With Scratch, students create a wide variety of interactive multi-media projects. This FREE online program is an introduction to the coding concepts in software development. Each lesson features prompt and/or reflection questions for students to support their development as computational thinkers. This Design Guide is a resource to organize ideas as students work through the Scratch Curriculum Guide in a design-based learning approach.
