Scripture Riddles Task Cards Set #1
Share

Description

What is included?

  • 9 individual task cards
  • Student recording sheets and answer key
  • Cover page or center poster

What is this activity?

This is a set of 9 task cards. Each card has a phrase with a Bible verse reference. Students must look up the verse and put the correct answer in the boxes on their recording sheet. If answers are correct, the first and last letters will spell out two more answers to the "bonus" or "riddle" questions.

The advantage of this type of activity is that students become familiar with the Old and New Testament, while at the same time learning some little-know Bible trivia.

Where can these be used?

  • Sunday school
  • Home School
  • Christian school classrooms
  • Family Bible studies

How task cards can be used:

  • Enrichment
  • Review
  • "Do now" activity as students enter room
  • Activity for early finishers
  • As a lesson supplement
  • Springboard for discussion
  • Can be used as trivia questions or questions to go with board games.

Task cards provide short chunks of learning so children don't get overwhelmed.

Each card gives a Bible verse that the student must look up to find the answer. This may help them learn to navigate the Bible more efficiently.

Used with one of my students who has ASD and could not handle the topics being taught in religion so we worked one on one with these task cards.
