Description
Your Calculus students practice determining the 2nd Derivatives with this Matching and Riddle activity. Students twice differentiate a wide variety of functions including polynomial, rational, radicals, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric. Please note that here are no inverse trig functions included.
After they determine the second derivatives of 15 functions, they match their answers from a choice of 27 solutions. This helps avoid any guessing. Each match leads to a clue in the riddle. Also included are show your work pages and an answer key. This fun activity will both challenge and engage your students.
My students worked best in small groups collaboratively. Please look at the preview to make sure these problems are appropriate for your classes.
