Description

This "secret message" activity will amuse your students and teach them how to convert/rename improper fractions (fractions greater than one whole) and mixed numbers.

Directions: In each row, convert each mixed number to a fraction greater than one. Also convert each fraction to a mixed number. Circle the letter next to the greater value. The first one has been completed for you.

At the end, read the message from top to bottom. It reads, "Either Form Works" (The other letters spell "Improper or Mixed").

And all you have to do is copy it! The prep is all done for you. It's easy to check. Just see if they found the secret message! It's up to you to determine how much work you require your students to show. Use it as group work, homework, enrichment, or extra practice.

You can also get this activity and 14 more in the 4th Grade Secret Message Math Bundle. Check it out! You save over 50% by buying the bundle.
