Description

This "secret message" activity will amuse your students and teach them about writing/translating numerical expressions.

Directions are printed at the top: In each row, determine which numerical expression represents the situation described in words. Circle the letter next to the correct expression in each row. The first one has been completed for you.

At the end, read the message from top to bottom. It reads, "Know your math vocab" (The other letters spell "It is a clue word hunt").

These 15 problems all involve expressions with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and parenthesis. Please note, there are no exponents in this activity. Check out the Preview to see exactly what you will receive.

And all you have to do is copy it! The rest of the prep is all done for you.
