This segment addition postulate (line segment addition) matching activity asks students to solve for the variable x, by setting up and solving equations using the segment addition postulate. You can also use this activity as a cut and paste! Students will work problems that have them draw the line segment to solve. Students will also need to know what a midpoint of a segment is in order to solve some problems.

This can be used as a knowledge check after the unit, or a quick review before a test.
